Brief description / remarks:

The AutoCAD is a very important skill for the students of B. Tech and Diploma, to achieve their goals in designing industries. A VAC on “Fundamental of AutoCAD” from 01/08/2023 to 14/08/2023 was organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, to introduce fundamental aspects of AutoCAD and providing to the students with hands-on experience in creating, editing, and annotating 2D and 3D drawings.

EEE, ME, and CE students benefited from this value-added course, details of which are as follows:

EEE – 39

ME-   26

CE-    33

The workshop fulfilled following objectives-

  • Familiarized participants with the AutoCAD user interface and navigation.
  • Provided with a solid foundation for further CAD learning and application to the students.
  • Enabled participants to understand and apply annotation techniques for effective communication.
  • Introduced participants to dimensioning, scaling, and plotting principles in AutoCAD.
  • Developed participants’ proficiency in creating and editing 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD.

The workshop not only enhanced participants’ CAD skills but also equipped them with practical knowledge that will be invaluable in their academic and professional pursuits. The positive outcomes observed during the workshop highlight the effectiveness of the structured approach and hands-on learning methodology was employed. The participants’ enthusiasm and active engagement further underscore the success of the workshop in achieving its objectives.
