About Journalism and Mass Communication

With the growth of the digital media and the various digital platforms, mass communication and journalism has taken a brawl of great significance in the social, economic, and political lives of the people. Mandsaur University’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communication aim is to develop and successfully graduate students, who have the required qualities for a global and national communication environment; students who can comfortably use the new technologies available individually or cooperatively in a creative manner; students who execute their industrial knowledge as critical thinkers with ethical and social responsibility. Its uniquely designed courses and exclusive pedagogy are perfectly blended with the varied areas as per the industry’s growing demand.

As a way of promoting and developing the practical skills of the students the department is equipped with State of the art infrastructure and facilities such as TV Studio, Radio FM, Professional Lighting and Sound system, Broadcast Quality HD cameras for indoor and outdoor shooting, recording and interview platforms, news and journal publishing, Non Linear Editing Systems, Graphics Work Station and language labs. The program maintains a position of great significance as journalists play the pivotal role of conveying information and shaping the minds of the people within the society. The students receive guidance and training from an elite league of faculties and experts who nurture the students in the various industry based ways of journalism. Beyond the scope of the curriculum, the program goes on to shape the interpersonal and communication skills of the students in preparation of their career in journalism and mass communication.

Welcome to Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication atMandsaur University. We are strongly committed to excellence in teaching and training in Journalism and Media. We are dedicated to professional media training and education, have the ability to utilize up to date technology effectively in teaching, work collaboratively and encourage congenial environment of academic activities. The Department aims attention at achieving its goal of helping the learners gain both practical knowledge along with applied skills, for making the diversification by nurturing personal as well as professional growth and to acquire progressive career advancement as a determined professional and leader in their careers. We believe in multi-faceted development of the students to with-stand the challenges of global competitiveness. Today, education is transforming towards the outcome based education and credit based systems. Television Studio

we have well equipped Television Studio, which is used for Television Programme Production. We have Designed it in such a way that students can be fully prepared to move to Electronic Media after completion of course. There are three sections in the studio which is Editing Lab with six computer systems, Recording Floor with latest shooting equipments and Conference Room. There is sound proof Recording studio where we have Croma lashed Recording floor, Teleprompter, Microphone, latest Camcorder, DSLR Camera, etc.

Radio Studio

A well equipped Radio Studio, which is used for Radio Programme Production and Broadcasting. Our students are producing Radio Bulletin weekly. Here they learn skills to become Radio Jockey/Show Host. In well equipped Radio Studio they produce programme with the help of high quality Microphone, Recorder,  Sound  mixer and Editing system.
