Brief description- A national webinar on the topic “Renewable Energy and Sustainable Development Goal” was conducted by the Mechanical Engineering Department MU on 24/9/2021, for All B.Tech. and Diploma Mechanical Engineering Students and the staff members. The resource person was : Dr Siddhartha Singha, IIT Guwahati
Dr Siddhartha Singha, is currently working as an Assistant Professor in School of Agro and Rural Technology, IIT Guwahati.
He completed his both Bachelor and Master of Technology from Jadavpur University, which is one of the top 200 universities according to Times Higher Education survey. Thereafter, he completed his PhD from IIT Madras, which is one of the top 200 universities in the whole world. He joined IIT Guwahati in 2017 and has been engaged in a number of research activities there, which are focused towards helping the rural population.
He discussed about the significance of sustainable development goal, so that the society may prosper, but without the consequential shortage of natural resource. Sri Soumyabrata Bhattacharjee started the session and introduced Dr Siddhartha Singha. HOD (Dr. Ravi Kumar) briefed the session & Mr Ashish Sethiya and Mr Deepak Kumar Patidar, promoted and looked after the logistics of the event. At last Sri Soumyabrata Bhattacharjee presented the vote of thanks.
