Brief description / remarks: Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Mandsaur University has organized a webinar on “Current Scenario of Indian Media and Press freedom” and to share his expertise Dr. Sandeep Verma (Assistant professor, department of mass communication M.G.A.H.V Wardha Maharashtra) and Mr. Mahendra Singh (Assistant Editor, Rajasthan Patrika, Digital Head, PATRIKA,UP) was present as a Resource person. During this session, the students discussed the present condition of Indian media, why world ranking of Indian media is degraded nowadays. We had 2 resource persons one is from academics and another one is from the media industry, they both have different experience and solutions for these issues. Mr. Amit Mishra (Chief Editor, VINDHYA TIMES) was also present to share his expertise and experience. This was fruitful for the students. They explain about the challenges and ethical perspective of Media, what students can do when they are in the Media field, what are the disadvantages of social media, etc. They said that don’t be negative about this present scenario, there is always an opportunity for media students to change the scenario.
At the end of the session, Mr. Arun Kumar jaiswal (Assistant professor, DJMC) gave the vote of thanks. During this all faulty members of the department were presented.   

Outcome: During this session, the students know about the ethical perspective of current media and what are the challenges for the freedom of Press.
