Title: “Gene cloning and its applications”

Brief description/ Remarks: The Faculty of Life sciences, Mandsaur university had organized a guest Lecture entitled “Gene cloning and its applications” for the university students, research scholars and faculty members on 25th November, 2022. The eminent speaker for this event was Prof. (Dr.) Hardik Pathak, Department of Biotechnology, JECRC University, Jaipur, Rajasthan. The main objective of the expert lecture was to elaborate various applications of gene cloning. Prof. (Dr.) Arunava Das, Dean and Head of Faculty of Life Sciences welcomed and introduced the guest to the participants. During the session, Prof. (Dr.) Hardik Pathak discussed about the basics of gene cloning techniques. He also talked major advancement, and applications of gene cloning in the field of Drug Screening and Development, Cancer Research, Virology, Genetic Engineering, Gene Therapy and Stem Cell Therapy. The event concluded successfully with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mohammad Irfan Ali, Faculty of Life Sciences, Mandsaur University.
Outcome: This guest lecture enlightened the participant about the most recent advancement and applications of gene cloning. At the end the guest speaker answered all the questions raised by the participants. The students found the lecture very interested and informative.
