A Step towards Start-up

Brief description/ Remarks:The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Center for Research & Development have jointly organized A one day Faculty Development Programme on Entrepreneurship and Startup. The theme of the FDP is “A Step towards Start-up”. The faculties of all the departments were present to attend this FDP. The event was started with the lightening of Lamp at 9:00 A.M and present of Bookey to the resource person. He started the programme by familiarizing the faculties about the need of start-up. He motivated the faculties to cultivate the culture of start-up and inculcate entrepreneurship skill in the institute. He quotes the famous saying of Shri A.P.J. Kalam that “Dreams are not what you see in your sleep, Dreams are things which do not let you sleep”. He discussed in detailed about the ecosystem of start-up, stages of start-up, and he also emphasize that to start a company one should have domain knowledge of all the functional bodies of the organization. Lastly, he talked about the list of government schemes to support startup in India. He proudly says that India is becoming heaven to implement a startup.
