SPIC-MACAY (Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture among youth) Mandsaur Chapter organized a concert of Kathak Perofmance by National Award Winner Mrs. Divya Goswami, Mr. Zakir Hussain Warsi (Tabla) and Farhaz Ahmed (Vocal & Harmonium) in Mandsaur University Campus – I on 09th September, 2017. In the concert, Mrs. Divya Goswami a renowned artist from Lucknow Gharana unfolded the true Indian classical performances of Kathak starting from Ganesh Vandana.
On this occasion, Mrs. Divya Goswami shared her thought that music has no boundary and it is itself a complete language of expressing your emotions, views and thoughts. She appreciated the audience of Mandsaur University for their positive presence and thoroughly enjoying the essence of music.
Shri Surendra Ji Nahta highlighted the magnitude of music and it depicts the importance of Indian culture in present context where we are moving towards western music and culture globally and locally. Shri Surendra Ji Nahta along with Vice Chancellor Prof. D.K. Patnaik honored the artists with a shawl and memento as a token of remembrance. Prof. Jagdish Khatri proposed the vote of thanks. The event ended with remarkable performances by Mrs. Divya Goswami with her team.
