Workshop – Online Workshop on Time Series Analysis in Artificial Intelligence

Department: Computer Science and
Engineering

Year/Semester: I/I

Activity: Workshop – Online Workshop on Time Series Analysis in Artificial Intelligence

Date and Duration: 20 November, 2021 (10:00 AM – 01:00 PM)

Brief description/ Remark
The workshop on Time Series Analysis in Artificial Intelligence was formed to develop and to
learn more about developing areas for Artificial Intelligence. The Artificial Intelligence,
Workshop was formally conducted on 20 November, 2021 from 10.00 am- 01.00 pm at LT –

  1. The workshop session began with the inaugural address by student coordinator, Mr. Tosif
Mansuri (B.Tech CSE 1 st Semester). In his address he expressed his opinion on the importance
of artificial intelligence and time series analysis with future scope of artificial intelligence. Mr.
Sujit Pandey, Advisory Technical Services Specialist, IBM India Private Ltd delivered an
excellent presentation on the Time Series Analysis in Artificial Intelligence. He briefed A time
series is a sequence of data in chronological order, with each datapoint attributed to a specific
point in time. The simplest example would be temperature over time, with seasonal variation in
line with changing climates. Predicting future variables in these datasets, known as time series
forecasting, is an important objective that machine learning aims to fulfill. This has several real-
world applications, including weather forecasting, earthquake prediction, statistics, and perhaps
most useful for business — market forecasting. Finally, Student Coordinator delivered the vote
of thanks. A good number of students attended the session.

Outcome: Students got an overall idea about the Time Series Analysis in Artificial Intelligence.
