Title: Financial Literacy and Indian Securities Market

Brief description / remarks:
Faculty of Business Administration and Commerce organized a workshop on Financial Literacy and Indian Securities Market for first year students of BBA, B.Com and MBA students on 15th October, 2022.
The key purpose behind the session was to make the students aware about the financial terminologies, difference between investment and trading, time value of money and do’s and don’t of share market.
The Session started at 11.00 am followed by the lamp lightening. The event was hosted by Ms. Mansi Mehta (MBA I sem) by elaborating the theme of session thereafter guest welcome by Head of Department Prof. (Dr.) Brajesh Kumar by presenting a bouquet. The session started by Mr. Dabi with the concept of value of money in human life and interrelate it with the concept of time value of money and role of investment in human life. Mr. Dabi elaborated with the risk associated with share market, and role of demat account and SEBI also. At the end of the session question answer round was conducted to clear the doubts of students to make them more familiar with share market. The session was ended with vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Hemant Meena (BBA I Sem ) with the effective coordination of Mr. Yuvraj Singh Rana (MBA I Sem).
The whole event was coordinated by Mr. Avinash Vikram and Mrs. Sonakhi Agrawal. During the session Dr. Jitendra Chouhan (Asso. Prof.), Mr. Manish Gupta (Asst. Prof.) and Mr. Ruben Shah (Asst. Prof.) was present.
Outcome :
- Students gained the knowledge about financial literacy and associated terminologies.
- Learnt about the share market, SEBI and Market jargons.
