Brief description / remarks: Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized five days’ workshop on “PLC & SCADA” for the Final and pre-final year B. Tech and final year Diploma Students. Out of 28 registered participants, 24 participated in Workshop Programme.

The primary objective of this Workshop Programme to organizing this workshop was to teach the basic fundamentals of automation in the students and provide them with a platform to work on, In the Near Future. The Most Used Guiding Force Behind an Automated Industrial Plant Is A “Programmable Logic Controller” Generally Known as A PLC. PLCs Along with Certain Other Necessary Ingredients Like Sensors, Motors, Actuators, Valves, Conveyors, Boilers, SCADA Systems, Computers & Many More, Makes A Real Automated Manufacturing Plant. To understand the genetic architecture and constituent components of a Programmable Logic Controller. The main objective of PLC & SCADA Training is to make the aspiring engineers acquainted with the conceptual as well as practical knowledge of the Industrial Automation & latest technologies being used to achieve industrial automation. In this training, students will get practical-oriented knowledge about Industrial Automation PLC and SCADA.The Coordinator Mr. Anuj Lodhi starts the Workshop Programme, and the motivation was conveyed by Mr. Virendra Jain HOD EEE.

Outcome: The Program create Design and Write basic PLC programs and generate SCADA HMI graphics.

  • Classify input and output interfacing devices with PLC.
  • Execute, debug and test the programs developed for digital and analog operations.
  • The students will be able to make their own SCADA projects according to industrial exposure 
  • Student understands the Concept of Automation, the Need for automation, and the Basics of PLC Introduction to PLC.
  • Determine I/O requirement of the application, develop program and interface system with PLC.
