Mandsaur University, Mandsaur & VDI Hannover, Germany organizing Joint International Webinar Series

The Faculty of Life Sciences, Mandsaur University organized an inauguration session for the Joint International Webinar Series on Paving the Way to a Sustainable Bio-Economy for the students and faculty members of Mandsaur University on 28 September 2021 at 5:00 pm in collaboration with The Biotechnology Chapter, VDI, Hannover, Germany. The webinar series is a part of the activities under the MoU collaboration between the Faculty of Life Sciences, Mandsaur University, and VDI, Germany.

Prof. (Dr.) Arunava Das, Dean & Head, Faculty of Life Sciences delivered the welcome and inaugural address followed by a presidential address by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Mandsaur University Brig. (Dr.) Bharat Singh Rawat. The keynote speaker for the session was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Bernhard Huchzermeyer, Professor Emeritus, Leibniz University, Hannover & Head, Biotechnology chapter, VDI, Hannover, Germany, who has more than 40 years of teaching and research experience in the field of Life Sciences and Plant Biotechnology. A total of 50 students, research scholars and faculty members attended the inaugural session. The inauguration session was concluded successfully with a vote of thanks by Mr. Yogendra K Verma, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Life Sciences.

Mandsaur University, Mandsaur, and VDI Hannover, Germany are working together in diverse disciplines like biotechnology, microbiology, agriculture, engineering, and many more areas in human welfare. The webinar series is comprised of seven lectures scheduled for three months and aims to highlight the key aspects of sustainable bio-economy for substantial environmental and socio-economic benefits. In addition to that the focus also will be on academic and research scholarships/fellowships, students exchange programs, and work opportunities in Germany.
