Brief description/ Remark:

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of independence and the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements.

This Mahotsav is dedicated to the people of India who have not only been instrumental in bringing India thus far in its evolutionary journey but also hold within them the power and potential to enable Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of activating India 2.0, fuelled by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

The students remembered the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country and paid tribute to the freedom fighters.  In this regard, a speech competition was conducted on 12 August, 2022, by the Department of Communication Skills for first year students under NEP on the topic entitled Azadi ke Liye Swatantrata Senaniyon ka Yogdan. A total of 60 students from the Department of Business Administration & Commerce and Life Sciences actively participated in the competition. The students participated with great enthusiasm and gave their views. These budding minds highlighted the freedom struggle. In their speech they discussed the sacrifices of countless freedom fighters of India fought in their own way through years of struggle to help India become free and independent. The contribution of freedom fighters of India who breathed new life into the freedom struggle and helped bring forward the revolution that ultimately resulted in India’s Independence. Around 60 students participated in the competition. 

 Ms. Tejaswani Rathore, First year B.com, was declared as winner and Ms Saloni Gupta, First year BBA and Mr Aditya  Mandela, First year BBA were declared as first and second runner up.

Outcome –

1. This speech competition spread patriotic thoughts among the students.

2. The competition made the students realize the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. 

3. The program instilled devotion towards the country amongst the students and promoted the national interest.
