Brief description/ Remarks: 

Independence Day is celebrated all over India with great gratification, zeal, enthusiasm and joy on 15th August every year. The day symbolizes the unwavering spirit and sacrifices made by our freedom fighters that valiantly fought against the colonial rule. The euphoria of independence reverberates across the nation, serving as a reminder of the triumph of justice, equality, and the spirit of unity.The parade is an integral component of the Independence day celebration and stands as a tribute to India, its unity in diversity and rich, cultural heritage. With the same objective, the NSS volunteers of Social Awareness & Environment Sustenance Club (NSS Unit) of Mandsaur University has participated in the Independence Day parade on 15th August 2023. The training for the parade was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Komal Singh Chouhan, Security Officer, MU and Mr. Suresh Bairagi, Security supervisor MU from 11.08.2023 to 14.08.2023. They trained the volunteers for the independence day parade and developed the basic skills in the volunteers on how to coordinate with each other. On the auspicious day, the celebration begins with march-past by NSS Volunteers along with the security guards followed by the National Anthem. Afterwards, volunteers were graced by the motivational words of the Shree Narendra Ji Nahata, Hon’ble Chancellor, MU. Mr. Paras Adaniya, NSS Volunteer from the Department of Agriculture also delivered a speech full of patriotism. Towards the end, Dr. Shekhar Jain, Director NSS praised the volunteers for their devotion and hard work. The participation was successfully coordinated by the faculty coordinator Ms. Teena Yadav (Secretary NSS) with student coordinator Mr. Umesh Dangi (Faculty of Agriculture).

Outcome:

Such activities inculcate students with the sense of pride, responsibility for the society and nation, role of discipline in personality development, time management, coordination, motivation as well as develop leadership and teamwork skill.
