Brief description/ Remarks: 

In view of International Women’s Day, the Social Awareness & Environment Sustenance Club (NSS Unit) of Mandsaur University organized an Expert interaction on women empowerment and conducted different competitions for ‘Expression of gratitude towards women’ in different ways such as speech/poster/poem/PPT for the students of Mandsaur University on 11.03.2023.  The UN theme for this year’s International Women’s Day was “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality”.  At the beginning of the program, Dr. Shekhar Jain, Director NSS welcomed the expert Mrs. Meenakshi Dhakad, Founder and CEO, Dirghayu Bhava, Neemuch and judges for the competition Dr. Aradhana Sethi, HOD, Faculty of Education, and Dr. Reshmi Deb Choudhury Das, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Communication Skill. The program started with the brief introduction of the Mrs. Meenakshi Dhakad by Dr. Shekhar Jain.  During interaction in virtual mode, she briefed about her work and discussed about challenges faced during the setup of her dream work. She motivated students to work hard and focus on their main target and also inspired not to give up. Afterwards, she resolved the queries raised by students regarding startup business. 

During the International Women’s Day competitions for Expression of gratitude towards women students participated very enthusiastically wherein following students achieved rewarding positions and awarded with certificates in different categories-

The whole program was anchored by student coordinators Ms. Lavina Vyas and Ms. Prachi from Life Sciences and successfully coordinated by faculty coordinator Dr. Shekhar Jain, Director NSS, Ms. Teena Yadav, Secretary NSS and Mr. Dayashankar Singh (Coordinator campus 1) along with student coordinator Umesh Dangi (B. Sc. Agriculture II year), Pratik Sharma (B. Sc. Microbiology II year) and Bharat Choudhary (BBA I year). At the end of program, Dr. Shekhar Jain expressed vote of thanks to all.

Outcome: 

Celebration of women’s day, honours women’s accomplishments, promotes gender parity and gender equality. The students get motivated, especially girls, from the success story of women as well as interaction with expert. They also learned about different ways of expression of gratitude towards women for their important role in life, society and nation building. This program strengthened sign of appreciation, respect, love, and care towards women in lives and in society among students.
