Brief description / remarks:
The Dept. of Mechanical Engineering in association with Alumni Association, Mandsaur University organized Symposium titled International Symposium on New Insights in Material and Metallurgy. The symposium was well attended by eminent academicians, faculty members, and students from reputed technical and educational institutions from different parts of the country.
The technical sessions were taken by three different Alumni in their respective area of Material Science.
Mr. Ashish Sethiya the coordinator of this program introduced the resource person to the audience. HOD of the Department Dr. Ravi Kumar in his opening address welcomed all the alumni. He motivated the students by saying the opportunity in the field material and metallurgy.
In the first session, Dr. Bhupendra Gupta has given research insights of Phase change material. He enlightened with the application and scope of PCM’s in engineering & Technology. Various queries related to the area were answered during the session.
In the second session, Dr. Ankush Sharma started with his research work which he has recently done on composite materials. He added with the Properties, Characteristics, Challenges, Opportunities and Future demand of Composite material towards industrial environment. Various queries related to the area were answered during the session.
In the third session, Mr. Faizan Hussain, who is working in the fastest growing area of material science i.e. in material coating has covered various aspects including manufacturing, latest machines, research, development of new materials and opportunities. He also shared his views about material coating opportunities in Indian and international market.
The talk was followed by the interaction session of current students with the invited Alumni. They motivated the students and make them familiarize about the job areas and career opportunities. They talked about their journey of career and answered many queries from the students regarding their profession and career.
The symposium ended with valedictory function. Dr. Ravi Kumar, HOD (Mechanical Engineering), Mandsaur University expressed his views regarding the symposium.
Mr. Ashish Sethiya, in his vote of thanks, thanked all the alumni, attendees, the faculty, and students for their support.
Outcome: Very informative talk delivered by the Speakers on relevant topics like Material coating, Phase change materials, composite materials. Students have interacted deliberately with speakers to develop new ideas and further prospects for the field.
