Brief description/ Remark
Department of Journalism and Mass Communication has conducted an interaction session for the students with filmmakers. In this session Mr. Pradeep Sharma (Senior Journalist & Film makers), Suresh Bhati (Senior Producer, BALAJI Films, Mumbai) were present to share their experience about film and media industry. Mr. Pradeep Sharma is making a hindi feature film based on malwa politics. So, During this session they also take audition of students for different position, like acting, assistant director and assistant cameraman. There were total 12 students, and 09 out of 12 have impressed them by their talent.
Dr. Manish Kumar Jaisal, Head of Journalism and Mass Communication Department started the program by introducing them and welcome speech. After that Mr. pradeep Sharma give a brief introduction about his upcoming film. During this, He said “If you want to make your career in film and media industry than patience is most important thing and you must have specialty in any particular thing. As a film maker you must have sharp eyesight.” After that Mr. Suresh bhati has shared his experience about Mumbai and film industry to the students and take audition. Mr Bhati said that students are very talented, I am sure that they will play a key role in their film.
At the end of program Mr. Arun jaiswal (Assistant Professor, DJMC) gave vote of thanks. Assistant professor Ms. Sonali Singh and all students of DJMC were present in this session.
Outcome: Students have become aware with the working style of film industry. Students will get chance to work in feature film as actor, Assistant director and camera man.
