III-Cell secured 5th Rank in the state level Navonmesh Start-up Idea Challenge 2021

With immense pleasure and feeling of pride, I wish to inform you all that the Mandsaur University has secured 5th Rank in the Navonmesh Start-up Idea Challenge 2021 organized by Atal Incubation Centre-Rabindranath Tagore University (AIC-RNTU) Foundation, Bhopal in association with Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal. Navonmesh (Innovation) is considered to be the key to Entrepreneurship and this event was organized with the vision to motivate the young generation for building a strong, self-reliant, and enlightened Bharat.

              A team of four students (Deepa Singh Rathore, Rohini Bhoyar, Kuldeep Lohar and Devendra Sigh Sonigara) from the Faculty of Life Sciences has participated in the challenge through the III-Cell of Mandsaur University. Initially, based on the innovative idea entitled “Developing of Bioextract coating for prolonging shelf life of papaya fruits” the project get shortlisted in top 50 among the more than 200 ideas received across the M.P. state. During the final round, the students have secured 5th rank among the top 50 selected ideas through the effective presentation at AIC-RNTU, Bhopal on 14th March 2021 before expert Jury members.  The proposed innovative project is already running under the III-Cell of Mandsaur University in the mentorship of Dr. Taniya Sengupta Rathore.

The Parameters on which shortlisting/final evaluation done by experts were:

  1. Uniqueness of idea
  2. Problem identified for solving and its magnitude
  3. Scalability of idea, Technical Aspects and prospects for commercialization
  4. Presentation of the idea and team work involved
