Brief description/remarks: Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized ABL Activities for the students on the topic “Home Automation using IOT’’ on 19th Aug 2023. There were 23 participants in ABL Activities from B.Tech 1st  and 2nd year.

The primary objective of this ABL Activities was to introduce the basic knowledge of IoT and its application. Over the past few years, IoT has become one of the most important technologies of the 21st century. Now that we can connect to everyday objects like kitchen appliances, cars, thermostats, monitors to the internet via embedded devices, seamless communication is possible between people, processes, and things. IoT-based system model is used to collect, process, and store real-time traffic data for such a scenario. The objective is to provide real-time traffic updates on traffic congestion and unusual traffic incidents through roadside message units and thereby improve mobility.

The Coordinator Mr. Kapil Kumar Badoliya & Mr. Abrar Rja conducted the ABL Activities.

Outcome: The ABL Activities provided a basic overview of Five IoT Projects.

  • Students understood the basic Programming of Arduino.
  • Students performed the LED Blinking and Time Delay Projects based on Arduino.
  • Students got an overview of how sensors work and how to make projects using sensors.
