EDUCATIONAL TOUR

As per the circular of NCTE, dated, 5 September, 2018, and directions received from Department of School Education and Literacy, MHRD, Government of India, regarding celebration of 150th birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Mandsaur Institute of Education, Mandsaur organized visit of student teachers to nearby state i.e chittorgarh (Rajasthan) on 2/10/2018 under the compaign “Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat”.

The objective of the tour was to showcase the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of Rajasthan State for enabling student-teachers to understand and appreciate the diversity of India, At 7.00 am the journey started. About 50 students and 6 faculty members were the participants. Firstly we visited world famous Shri Sanwaliya seth temple, situated on the way to chittorgarh where all the participants worshiped the idol of Krishna ji. After that the student- teachers were given breakfast of fruits. Student –teachers enjoyed at the beautiful temple of sanwariayaseth. Lunch of the students was arranged in Hotel. After taking lunch and getting refreshed, we went to see Chittorgarh. the epitome of Rajput pride, romance and spirit. It is known for its exceptional beauty along with the architecture marvels and wonderful constructions. This ruined fort stands as evidence revealing the glorious Rajput tradition and heroic history. Student –teachers very enthusiastically spend a great time around Chittorgarh and admired the art and architecture after seeing the outstanding constructions. The tour helped the students to have experiencial learning, a forum for research, debate, and critical thinking.. It also helped the student- teachers to revise the history that they studied. We returned back to Mandsaur around 9 pm It was a really very enriching experience where students enjoyed as well appreciated the rich heritage of India.
