DECLAMATION CONTEST
BRIEF DESCRIPTION / REMARKS: Mandsaur University, Department of Education organised Declamation Contest on 17th May 2018. The competition aimed to promote the skills of effective Public speaking. Total Nine students participated in the Contest. The students enthusiastically performed the role of Chanakya, Swami Vivekanand, Abraham Lincoln, Chanda Kochar, Sandeep Maheshwari, Kiran Bedi, Mother Terasa and Narendra Modi. The participants enthusiastically gave out the speeches of the said personalities with the same colour, valour, passion, and even the same dress up and get up. The chief guest of the programme was Shri Narendra Nahata Ji, Chancellor of Mandsaur University and Dr. Shailendra Sharma, Vice chancellor of Mandsaur University The competition was judged by Col., Anand Kumar, Dean Administration of Mandsaur University, Dr. Lokeshwar Jodhana, HOD, tourism department and Dr. Naveen Chaudh.ry, Director of Pharmacy. Mr. Bharat Upadhyay, Assistant Professor of Education Department coordinated the programme. Judges appreciated the efforts of the students and expressed that such competitions lead to free flow of ideas and help in attention. First prize was won by Shailesh Tripathi who gave the speech of Narendra Modi. Second prize and third prize was given to Manish and Rizwana Khan, who performed the role of Chanakya and Swami Vivekananda. At the end of the competition, Chancellor and Vice-chancellor of the university encouraged the students and stated that the contestants were well prepared and performed amazingly well. Overall it was a knowledgeable and enthralling experience.
