Title:  ‘Cleanliness Program’

Brief description/ Remarks: 

In view of Clean India campaign and Fit India Freedom Run 3.0, the Social Awareness & Environment Sustenance Club (NSS Unit) of Mandsaur University has conducted ‘Cleanliness Program’ on 19.10.2022 at the nearby area of Mandsaur University premises. In the beginning, Dr. Shekhar Jain, NSS program officer enlighten students about the objectives of Clean India campaign and Fit India Freedom Run 3.0 organizing by Ministry of Youth affairs and sports across the India.

NSS Volunteers started the conducted ‘Cleanliness Program’ under the theme and weed off Gajar Ghas as well as collected single use plastics. The students also took a pledge to segregate (household, shop, establishment) waste in two dustbins, wet waste in Green and dry waste in Blue, as their contribution to the Swachh Bharat Mission. 

At the end of the program, Dr. Shekhar Jain has praised the NSS volunteer’s efforts and encouraged them for keeping such practice in daily life and spread message of cleanliness in the society.  The program was successfully coordinated by the Student coordinator Mr. Pratik Sharma (Faculty of Life Science) and Mr. Umesh Dangi (Faculty of Agriculture).

Outcome:

Voluntarily participation in such Nation-wide activity, strengthen patriotism character among the students. Cleanliness gives rise to a good character by keeping body, mind, and soul clean and peaceful. This activity enhances the awareness among the volunteers about the cleanliness. They found motivated after this activity to spread the awareness about the importance of cleanliness and its role in healthy life into the societal development.
