Brief description / remarks:
The Faculty of Agriculture Sciences, Mandsaur University had Celebrated Farmer’s Day on 23rd December 2021 at Guradiya Deda village, Mandsaur. The aim of the program was to make farmer aware about this year theme i.e. Powering the farmers to make prosperity. On 23rd December, 2021 the Ist year students along with faculty members went to Guradiya Deda Village, Mandsaur. After reaching to the village, students and faculty members met to the Sarpanch (Kailash Ji) and he welcomed the team and helps to gather the farmers of village. The program was started with the introduction of students to the farmers by Dr. Lokesh Gour and he also delivered about importance of this day. Mr. Prashant Sinoriya who was Coordinating this program and shared information on this year theme and said if the Agricultural Sector and the farmers will be empowered, then only nation can grow. Dr. Sheshnath Mishra (Asst. Prof.) explained that such type of program really inspired us a lot and we should organized more and more such type of agricultural activity. Mr. Hemant Verma explained the importance of Organic and Inorganic fertilizers and suggests to farmers that they should apply organic and inorganic fertilizer in field to sustain soil health for long duration. Many farmers shared their experience with us and our students and faculty members were very inspired. Farmers were happy with us and they were glad to know about KISAN DIWAS. Students of first year gave their speech, poem, poetry and song on this occasion in front of Farmers. At the end of this program Mr. Prashant Sinoriya gave vote of thanks to the farmers, students, Sarpanch Ji and all the Faculty of Agriculture Science.

Outcome:
Raised awareness among the farmers about Kisan Diwas. Farmers got inspired when we do organize such type of awareness program.
