STONE CRAFT

BRIEF DESCRIPTION / REMARKS:   Activity-based learning is the process of learning by doing. It encourages students to actively participate in their own learning experience through practical activities such as problem-solving and independent investigation. Activity based learning are the opportunities for students to practice skills and also helps students to use their previous knowledge in creative and different way. The Faculty of B.Ed. has organized an Activity based learning entitled “Stone Craft” on 15 February, 2021 for the students of B.Ed. I Sem. and IV Sem. “Activity based learning” refer to those activities which are undertaken along with academic studies.  It provides a lot of freedom for students and space for their decisions regarding certain important elements in their learning.  It fosters collaborative learning with their classmates. Giving students the opportunity to build friendships and participate in groups which are outside of the tight circle of the regular classroom. Helping to build confidence and self-esteem. In this activity near about 29 students has been participated. They learnt how to make many decorative and useful items of stones. They created numerous items like waterfall, photo frame, stone painting, paperweight, model of village, flower pot etc. To get the activity to its final stage two judges were called, Whose names are Mrs. Mudita (faculty of M.B.A) and Mrs. Prachiti Joshi (from counselling), whose judgment are very reliable and fair. They judge stone craft made by the students. The first prize was goes to Saif Ali, a student of I Year, I Sem. Sonali Verma (II year, IV sem.) and Kalpana and Jyoti (who made stone craft together, I year, I sem.) were chosen as runner up.
