It is the largest generator of employment, stimulating growth in relate sectors of the economy. Tourism and Hospitality is also the fastest growing industry catering to global travelers looking for experience, education and adventure etc. Mandsaur University prepares ready professionals who can drive further growth in the sector and enjoy personal growth as well. This faculty is designed and aimed to provide highly skilled professionals to the tourism and hospitality industry. The institution is well equipped with academic and technical resources which provide a state of art experience of various sectors of tourism and hospitality industry. Tourism is the world’s largest service industry, as well as the world’s second largest industry overall. We all know that tourism in India is about hotels, restaurants, and resorts, but it doesn’t end there! It is also about customer involvement, adventure tour businesses, destination planning and marketing, and boutique inns – producing once-in-a-lifetime experiences and memories. Tourism and hospitality careers are available both locally and globally. The tourism and hotel business in Madhya Pradesh is an attractive, dynamic, and quickly increasing sector. Small class numbers, flexible learning choices, practical learning, and instructors with a diverse variety of research interests and industry expertise assist students in our program.
The course designed is as such that it aligns learning with industrial requirements with an adequate blend of practical as well as theoretical based learning.

Performs work activities effectively and efficiently to the standards expected in the operation required in the tourism industry/hospitality sectors.
Undertakes task, functions, duties and activities in the operation of the tourism & travel, hotels, government and non-government agencies in accordance with the competency standards.
Analyses situation, identifies problems, formulates solutions and implements corrective and/or mitigating measures and action management into foodservice and lodging operations.
Demonstrate the ability to develop, examine, question, and explore perspectives or alternatives to problems in hospitality operations.
Demonstrate the ability to use professional written and oral communication skills and technology to successfully communicate.
The Front office lab with a well decorated lobby, reception area & lounge is the first line of contact with the guest. In this lab the students are trained for receiving information, billing, guest registration & guest relations. In addition, the emphasis is on communication skills, social skills, oratory skills, & handling different types of situations.
Students learn the basic service techniques and etiquettes required in a restaurant. Types of cutleries, crockery, napkin folds, glassware’s, types of services, etc.The students learn how to handle a complaint and serve food to the guest. They practice the same by serving food to the staff members and guests during special sessions. Students also learn about various bar equipment used in training.
The capacity of the lab is 30 students. This laboratory is equipped with a computer of Windows-based application programs, Reservation System of GALILEO, and AMADEUS, tariff and pasasi document. Practical activity is On the Job Training Program and Field Trip Program (Visits to Industry) in order to train students and adapt to the work environment that will be occupied and have the attitude and behavior in accordance with the professional world.
Our training Guest room gives a feel of a guest room of luxurious Five Star Hotel. Here students are practically taught about Bed making procedure along with Room and bathroom cleaning procedures. They are taught How to maintain cleaning and hygiene of a room to a five star deluxe status.
